About Me: Where Art and Photography Meet

Hi, I'm Melina, the photographer behind Bovo Photo. I'm based in Los Angeles and originally from Italy, where my love for art and creativity began.

My love for photography started with nature. I found myself drawn to landscapes, animals, flowers, natural light, and the little details that are easy to overlook. Over time, that same love for capturing what caught my eye grew into photographing people, celebrations, and genuine everyday moments.

The name Bovo Photo also carries a piece of my family with it. My father, Angelo Bovo, was a painter, and he signed his artwork simply “Bovo.” My logo was inspired by his signature and the creativity he passed down to me.

In a way, photography has become my own way of continuing that artistic connection, just through a different lens.

I love photographs that feel natural and meaningful rather than overly staged. Whether I'm photographing a person, a celebration, or something beautiful I happen to find in nature, I want the image to preserve what made that moment worth noticing in the first place.
